Where is Tempe Municipal Court located?

The Tempe Municipal Court location is 140 E. 5th Street in downtown Tempe, just two blocks East of Mill Avenue on Fifth Street between the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and the A.S.U. Sun Devil football stadium. As a DUI Attorney, I can say that I enjoy working in this Court. The judges, staff and prosecutors are all very professional and fair.

This court is perhaps the most accessible court in the valley, you have many transportation options to choose from to get to the Tempe Municipal Court such as the valley metro light rail or bus. However, if you choose to drive your own vehicle, I suggest you utilize the City of Tempe parking garage adjacent to the courthouse on 117 E. 5th Street. There is no charge for the first hour and each additional hour (or fraction of an hour) is only $1.50.

The Tempe Municipal Court is of limited jurisdiction and mainly deals with misdemeanors, petty offenses, and civil violations, including traffic and City ordinances. The court also issues orders of protection and injunctions against harassment. Felony cases are typically handled by Maricopa County Superior Court.
